The Bastard left this morning for London via Singapore. Work was slightly surprised to hear that I didn't go to see him off, but hanging around until his parents arrived in the taxi that would bear them all off to the airport would, I think, have interfered with his opening his suitcase and packing. That, and I'm not a, shall we say, frugal packer. I'd have made him take another six pairs of socks. And a shirt.
Prepare for me to be slightly more self pitying than usual for the next fortnight. I don't really enjoy this. There will be just enough time for me to adjust my sleeping to cope with the fact that there's no-one trying to prevent me from taking up 80% of the bed, and then he'll get back. By which point I'll have been grumpy at least once during his absence, so his underwear will be folded and his socks organised by colour.
Ordered the wood for the backyard beds of doom. Shall be endeavouring to put them together into surrounds this weekend, then I'll order a tonne or a cubic metre of compost, whichever it is I need, and shovel that in to blend with the clay the weekend after. No cardriver means I'm not going anywhere until Bastard gets back that can't be got to using public transport.
Maybe I'll get some of that mending finished...

Don't blame it on the moonlight,
Don't blame it on the good times,
Do something about it!

Hello - Long time no type sorry been ultra busy at work and no net at home...
Sorry I have not written for so long. Work has been ultra hectic and the rest of my life slightly less so...
It is strange having the house to yourself when you are used to company even though you crave the space sometimes its always odd when a place is suddenly empty.
Maybe you should 'reorganise' everthing he owns so that it takes him 6 months to work out where everything is! That way he might reconsider going away the next time.
Are you going to Canberra? Paul wants me to work but I'm in severe need of a holiday.
If you get stressed out while he's away give me a buzz and I will happily provide a venting recepticle for your self pity.
Take care
Alex

Mind you, he also tries to goad me into being pissed off enough to clean the house. The Bastard.
Yes, I'm going to Canberra, haven't finalised my team yet, but I am going, and work is just going to have to deal with the auditors without me. I need bridge fun, not adult fun.
