I love rain. I love gardening in the rain. It's so much easier to dig up the clay when it's mud.
Yesterday I went to the Organic Festival thingy, bought myself some plants, potatoes, and pears. Looked at many things, and have more local suppliers of garden stuff to contact. It was happily raining, and it was fun wandering around getting my hair wet. Then, when I got home, I had to plant the elderberry and comfrey (which my local gardening centre doesn't have), so I went out and dug into the edges of Somme Swamp. The comfrey will definitely like it there. I was thinking of buying cress, but I don't want to water it during summer. There is another half bag of manure and half bag of gypsum gone from my stash.
One of these days, I have to get a wagon or trailer to attach to my bike so that I can go to my local garden centre and bring stuff back without catching a bus. There is only so much I can carry in my hands.
