This is my second day back at work after the three week absence, and already I have a new keyboard!

Arrived in Adelaide on Saturday, got home, started a load of washing, said 'hello' when the SO got home from work, went to a meeting, got home, started another load of washing, had tea, watched Doctor Who and then went to bed. Eventually got to sleep ;)

Sunday, got up, wandered around, realised that all the clothes I had to put on (not in the wash) were either skirts, work pants, or pants that are uncomfortable with the only clean and dry undies I have left. Put off putting on another load of washing. Hung out a load, and some clean undies from the other load so that I can go to work the next day. Went up to visit friends. Got home after midnight. Realised that I really don't like high-beam headlights when I'm tired. They hurt my eyes, even when they're mine. But got home safely and with the SO only accusing me of being an incipient road-rager once. Success!

My broad beans are flowering madly and have doubled in height since I last looked at them. The peas are not doing too badly - it must have rained while I was away. The pansies I put in shortly before I left are all alive and happy, as are the irises, but the basil is now ready to de-seed for next years' crop.

None of the outdoor jobs I listed for my SO to do for me have been done, but the darling dear man decided (on his own) that he was going to do a job we'd been talking about since we moved in but I was dreading since it involves chemicals that would leave me with migraines and other allergic reactions for a couple of weeks. So, we now have sanded, smooth, estapol-ed benchtops, not painted things with cracks through which drips meat juices. I am very proud of him. They are very pretty, and make the kitchen seem brighter and more happy. Now I just need to go spread that 150kg of gypsum on next year's cropping beds... I wonder if he got the inner tube for the wheelbarrow with the dodgy valve replaced?

While I was gone, all the meat in the freezer has been turned into stew in the freezer. It looks half empty. We now have two potatoes, two onions, and no fresh fruit or green things. There is, however, a jar of soaking beans for cooking with. Rephrase: There is a jar of soaking beans for my SO to cook with.

The last three weeks have been a lot of fun - thanks to everyone I got to see, and next time hopefully I shall see more of you.

Generally, I just borrow my SO's bags. He keeps getting given them by various relatives who get given them for whatever reason - or get new ones and pass on the old ones. My SO's Mum goes overseas with one bag or suitcase and comes back with six that she bought to hold all the stuff she got while she was there...
