I want a stamp. I want a little rotate-y date thing on said stamp, and something that says 'Received'. I want a second stamp with 'Entered'. These are the two most common things I write at work, and I could replace them both with a stamp. A little less work, and I wouldn't have to keep pinching back pens from myself.

Explain to them that the productivity increase from reducing your writing time more than justifies the cost of the stamps?

And while you're at it, you could explain to me how "pinching back pens from [your]self" works...?

I have a stash of pens on my desk. I also have a stash of pens at the other place in this building that I do work. There are also small stashes where I take deliveries or deliveries get picked up. Places where pens are useful.

Pens migrate from place to place in strange patterns.

Moreover, not all pens are created equal. Writing consignment notes for deliveries where the pen has to make a mark on the bottom sheet of 8 carbon-backed bits of paper is really hard with some pens.
