I'm at work. So far, the only people who have audibly noticed the hair colour change are the two women - and I told them last week I was going to the hairdresser on the weekend. I would have thought going from mouse to red is a little more noticeable...
I can't wait for my SO to get home tonight. He left on a plane yesterday morning at stupid o'clock to help his brother bring a car from Sydney to Adelaide. For some reason they didn't want to drive the 10-15 hours (how far it is depends on the driving style of whichever friend I ask) all in one go even though they had two drivers (two LARGE drivers in a Barina...) so they stayed overnight somewhere and I couldn't sleep because there was something different about the bed... It was flat.
This is the car that my SO tells me has gear(s) somewhere under his left knee.
So I'm rambling on after no sleep. I'll be playing bridge tonight. Another evening of Womens' Trials Bridge. More "I could bid this contract, and I would in an Open field, but if I look around I see that all the people sitting this way won't bid it so I'll lose more if I do and it goes down than I would lose by not bidding it if it makes". This is the field where a Grand Slam (taking all thirteen tricks) might be making, but there'll be pairs who have difficulty bidding Game (9 of 13 tricks in No Trumps, 10 of 13 in Spades or Hearts, 11 of 13 in Diamonds or Clubs - you get bonuses for bidding and making Game, Slam, or Grand Slam, overtricks (making more tricks than you bid for) don't net you even 10% of the value of these bonuses). I hope all the brain training I've been doing will pay off, or Mum will get grumpy at my play.
