On Saturday night, I went to a Beltaine Feast. As part of the entertainment, we watched and listened to Spiral Dance (see  http://www.spiraldance.com.au/ for more information). At one point during the night we watched Pauly (one of the musicians) morris dance (complete with flying hankies and jingly bells) to one of my favourite songs. Everyone was clapping along. Everyone, that is, except me. I had, as usual, decided to slap my leg along with the music instead of clapping because it hurts less.

I now have a whole bunch of tiny bruises on that leg where I busted capillaries in my enthusiasm.

Discovering the discolouration late Sunday was disturbing. They're fading to brown now, but they were a lovely purple colour that set off warning bells in my brain (do I have a fever? I remember reading that if you have purple blotches and a sudden high fever you should hie thee to a hospital pronto... Oh, yeah I had fun last night.... I can stop the panic attack now...)
