Sometimes I hate the fact that my SO has a libido significantly slower than mine. Sometimes I hate the fact that he rarely feels 'ready to go' at the same times as I do.
Then I remember all the other boyfriends I've had for whom 'no, I'm tired' or 'no, I'm sore' was a cue to try and cajole or coax me into giving in. And those for whom those statements were a challenge. And that one for whom those statements were an insult and proof that I fancied other males.
And I think myself lucky that I've found someone who takes me at my word, and who can and will also say 'no' when he doesn't want to.
