One of my favourite books by Isaac Asimov is titled "Against Stupidity..." The full quote is 'Against stupidity, the gods themselves contend in vain'. I don't know where he got it, but it seems to be the story of the week preceeding this entry. I appear to have the attention span of a goldfish, and the people around me aren't much better.
Fortunately, we're all being very good-humoured about it, or we'd all be tearing our hair out in frustration.
In other news, I'm managing to wean myself off of biting my nails (again). I have two nails that have passed the 4mm mark, and they're a lot stronger than the last time I managed to stop biting them. I think the extra zinc in my diet has been doing them good.

I love the way the three parts of that book mesh. I last read it mid 70's.
I lost two nails this week, both past the 20mm stage. Damn.
