I've been up for two hours, and now, finally, I think I can eat. I'm actually hungry. I love the drug the doctor put me on for reflux, I'm now less nauseous in the mornings, but one of the side effects is appetite suppression. I'm so used to eating everything in sight, and then looking for more (and everyone else is so used to watching me do it), that it feels kind of scary to reach lunch time and not feel nauseous because I haven't eaten yet. It also feels like I'm not eating enough at any one time because I start getting the low-blood-sugar shakes an hour or so before my next meal. But I no longer have the appetite, and I can't force myself to eat more without feeling sick.
