Missed out on the Spiral Dance CD launch on Friday, due to needing to play bridge at 9:30 am on Saturday. Bah.

Many thanks go to [livejournal.com profile] enkorvaks who secured me a copy of the CD, (remind me to pay you back lest I forget!) and [livejournal.com profile] rowlirowl who conveyed said CD to me and placed it on my desk where I found it this morning, next to the new EFTPOS machine. Sadly, I'm not sure which one I'm more excited about. I have a choice between being more excited about:
  • the new CD from a well-loved local band, or
  • the people who care and express it by getting said CD to me (not that the rest of you don't, for you do, lest I destroy you with ice and fire and rain destruction down upon your brethren and I must run away from those friendly people in the white jackets now...), or
  • the greatly reduced EFTPOS transaction time, or
  • pretty new toys on my desk!

You see my dilemma, surely.

Still a little wired from much bridge on weekend. No sedative is working. Usually a little alcohol, or chamomile tea, helps me wind down, or slow down the brain activity, but even though I tried last night, I'm still buzzing around in my skull. I must find a mood icon to associate with 'wired'. I should also probably figure out how to do it...

Oh Em Gee I loooove this new EFTPOS machine! Something that used to take enough time that I could update my journal whilst waiting just took, like, six seconds. From 60 to 6 over the weekend!

Only problem is the incessant beeping wot will drive me nuts soon.

Today we did the beginner class. cut for notes )Then in Progressive, we concentrated on tension, proper arm position, and ow my pecs, shoulders, thighs, calves, and everything else are protesting. Bastard managed to make my knee crack with the pressure I had to put on it to resist being slammed against his chest. His shoulders are clicking horribly again.

I learnt a barrowload from it all, even if I now need to guzzle water as if I hadn't already had several litres.

I'd just like to say that the lack of Winter Solstice Feast this year is Not Happy Jan. I'll have to find something else to gift myself with for my birthday.

That is all.

And last note for tonight:

I think that Workshop Guys' suggestion of singing a barbershop quartet version of 'neener neener neener' at He-Boss may, possibly, have its merits.
