The ACT team for the bridge next week has, rumor has it, problems with their line-up. You may remember I mentioned that their best pair came fourth in the trials, and so was out of the team by one place. The least experienced pair that got into the team subsequently dropped out (rather like a certain swimmer, IMO), and so they had the best team possible. Now (according to rumor) one of the other pairs is going to have to drop out due to the ill health of one of the players. Rumor also has it that they won't have enough players to field on the first day because there'll be only three people there...
