Tonight, on my way home from bridge, I passed one of those temperature/time clock display things. According to this clock, it was 37 degrees celsius outside. If it's 37 degrees, then why am I wearing a singlet, skivvy, shirt and two jumpers? I'm warm, but not that warm...

There isn't a minus sign, Adelaide doesn't get below 4 degrees. I always thought the particular sign in question was busted because I never saw it go below 14.

Let me change that: checking with the Bureau of Meteorology, I see that the lowest minimum temperature at the airport data collection station (which is the one nearest to where I live) was -2.6 degrees. However, the average min & max for July are 6.9 & 14.9 degrees.
