And in other news, I am officially a destroyer of plants via the refusing to water them over summer method. The mandarine tree is trying to cark it, one hibiscus _may_ reshoot and the hydrangea is definitely dead.
Although the batch of lettuce seedlings I planted a week ago are growing nicely. Only one of the 22 has died so far, and I did'nt really expect a seedling that I'm planting out at less than a centimetre tall (1.5 including the roots) to live. But for the half punnet left over from Dad's planting I reckon 21 live plants is damn good.
The golden nugget pumpkins that I've been ignoring over the last month or two of 30 degree heat are flowering (right on schedule), and it rained today, so I'll have to hand propagate, probably.
But the rain is a good thing, we were down to less than a quarter of the tank.
