Make that over 100 huntsman spiderlings. Anyone who is an arachnophobe or who is easily startled by coming face to face unexpectedly with a baby spider the size of my littlest fingernail should stay well away from our house. I counted 27 in the rear vestibule, 36 in the toilet, and 59 in the laundry, and I know very well I missed some because of their choice of perch.

Please tell me that they are moving out when they grow up? I understand that you'd like to keep one or two to keep other pests away, but...

Yes, the vast majority will die in various ways or move out. We may end up having one stay, which is cool. I'm quite happy for the majority of the living to take up residence in the garden, they're as good as ducks for getting rid of bugs, without the mess or the omnivorousness.
