Well, yet another bridge Youth Workshop has been announced that there is no way I'm going to get to. Unlike most of the recent ones, it's on the traditional sunday instead of saturday when I'm working, but I'm going to Mum and Dad's for dinner with my Great-Auntie Beryl who is down from Queensland this weekend.
It gets really frustrating, as workshops are a bit of fun, and I get to play with less experienced players. At workshops I spend my time boosting self-belief and reinforcing basic theory instead of seething at the manifestations of other players' egos.
And I get really grumpy hearing about them on the wednesday or thursday before they're held. A couple of weeks notice, and I might organise less important activities so that I can go.
