Note to self: Do NOT used the 'cook chicken pieces' auto-setting thingy on the microwave to cook chicken pieces, EVER!
The chicken exploded.
It was also cooked by the time it exploded, which was less than a third of the way into the cooking time.
Went to see the optometrist today. Add another thingy to the list of Atypical Responses of Me. One eye had deteriorated a little. The other had improved a little. Both eyes had slightly increased astigmatism. I'll get to pick up the new glasses in a week or two. The poor woman helping me pick a set of frames basically had to find the one pair in the store that fulfilled all my requirements for frames - they need to be small, black, thin-framed, with frame all around the lens, nosepieces, and not have those double-jointed hinges that keep me convinced that my glasses are about to fall off. There was, literally, only one frame in the store that filled those conditions. This includes the childrens' and mens' range, as well as the womens' range.
SA Youth Bridge Team Trials start at 9:30am tomorrow morning.
