Dun dun dun duuunnnnn!

Yes, that's right, your faithful procrastinator has finally got around to doing something she promised herself she'd do, oh, months ago ;)

Tonight, there was dancing!

  1. First Move - start right hand hooked, step in and find partner has stepped right of you so that you are side by side but facing different directions and your right arm across his chest with his across your front to end with hand on hip, slight push of hand on hip signals turn and step back to be side by side with inside feet forward, step forward with inside foot and be spun to a facing position, with male hand thumb down, to be followed by a return
  2. Basket - start holding hands, come in, and find your right hand lifted high to be turned under. Step back, side by side with partner, step forward and be turned
  3. U Turn I Turn  - start with a standing turn return, partner ends with hand facing himself (ready to be smacked into his forehead) and pointed moderately high, partner turns himself under his arm, and pushes flat-handed a turn
  4. Left Comb - start with a standing turn, partner ends with hands held fairly high, turns sideon, and places your hand on his outer shoulder by passing his arm in front of his face and your hand above/behind head, lets go hand whereupon you trail it down arm towards hand, hook hand and return

So now all I need to do is make an icon for dancing posts. Kind of hard, since all the photos of me that I have are either me enjoying myself on the spot, or contain persons who shall not give their permission for their images to be used (and I'm sure enough of this that I'm not going to bother asking). So I've added this new one <---wherever it is---> which is an example of how to get red-eye when photographing a spider.

Can't, unfortunately - I have to play serious bridge at 9:30 the next morning and that is incompatible with both a late night and the fun of dancing until I can no longer compose a rational thought, fun as it is. It's also incompatible with the buzz I get from their gigs, unless I choose to continue the buzz and get sleep in a couple of weeks (*wince for the pain*, *dance for the joy*)

That just means we are going to have to lure you up to the English Ale for much dancing goodness (although I have no idea of the details at the moment, but it should be soon).
