Today, the hired bobcat and operator is going to muck around with my backyard while I'm not there. I'm not sure my SO can be trusted to ensure the tradesman doesn't crush my broad beans when he's taking out the concrete next to that garden bed. They are, after all, Not Important. The earth-levelling machinery is there to level the ground in preparation for my SOs' parents' shed to be installed there. We decided that, while we had the machinery in, we might as well get some of the concrete we didn't want uprooted, and possibly the dying, borer-infested mandarine tree that I can't be bothered saving because I don't eat enough of them to make a tree that size worthwhile.

So, when he's done, I shall have flat ground, and various bits of concrete will have left the premises. Next job: Get the shed in. Next job after that: Get about three, maybe four trailer-loads of compost-dirt delivered, one trailer-load of sand, another of straw or other mulch, and enough bricks or bessa-blocks or other things to line the slightly raised beds I wish to create. Then I have to distribute said stuff all over the garden. Much fun to be had.
