We have rain! More rain!

Parts of Adelaide are flooding out. Yesterday we had the highest rainfall recorded in the month of June since recording started. Parts of the Hills had snow. Other parts had hail. In today's paper was a picture of a guy canoeing in his local park/reserve, which ordinarily has no water feature at all.

Gotta love the clay soil.

Question: What does the Association of LJ users think I should name the most-recently discovered swamp in my backyard? We already have Swamp St Michael, which sits there all winter and does nothing. That's where I planted my herb garden which is so far OK. But the recent heavy rains have created another swampy area around the ANZAC peach that the previous owner planted. It's not a particularly happy peach tree.

I would have thought the answer was obvious... A swamp around ANZACs could only be called the Somme.

At least that name's in slightly better taste than calling it Gallipoli...

I was plumping for Memorial Swamp. But Somme Minor sounds better...
