Rant for bridgeplayers:

Oh my GODS! The HORROR! Playing on BridgeBase, partner opened a weak 2 hearts. Having none and a large hand, I made a probably non-forcing but undiscussed bid. Of my seven card suit. Partner repeated their hearts. So I showed my four-card suit. They repeated their hearts again. Having not got the point that I do not like hearts and do not care. They could have bid 3NT, having the AQ of clubs in addition to the Jack to six hearts they had already showed me. But they chose to rebid their hearts again. So I rebid my diamonds, it is a seven card suit after all. So they NOW choose to bid No-Trumps, at the 5-level. Which gets doubled as it should, so I retreat to 6 diamonds which gets doubled by the player holding Q to four offside, as he should, and I go off several, as I should.

Not happy.

End rant.

Edit: Yes, I know this is probably incomprehensible, even to those of you who know what I'm talking about. It was just too horrific, and now I'm going to bed.

I understand....

I understand partner had 6 hearts...no heart and no brain...and no clue about how to bid.

Last time I played on BB(melb ANC)someone who rebid their pre-empt told me off for passing their rebid as it was forcing...go figure...my theory was that after partner rebid the preempt we were doomed anyway...ended up being the best of a bad bunch of spots despite partners ill informed lecture...I gave up shortly after.

Re: I understand....

And pre-empts are supposed to work by describing your hand in one bid, so that partner has all the information and can figure out what to do. When they bid another suit, it usually means that their suit is better than what you've shown them you have, and the only excuse for bidding more is that you have more than you've shown.

Which he didn't.
