End-of-year concert is now over for another year.

This year, I sang 'Black Velvet' by Alannah Myles. Transposed up three or four semitones. So I get to the final 'improvised' bit, and there's this line which ends up... Not high enough, so I play with it... And drop the mic to my side and sing without it since the room can hear me (in that bit) over the guitars without it, and I'm scared I'll break the amps *blush*

We had lunch at my parents' house, since it was my Dad's birthday, and had some of Christmas celebrations since my sister leaves tomorrow for Queensland via Cambodia - thanks for the buying-of-stuff on my behalf, [livejournal.com profile] shadow_5tails, she appreciated it (and so do I, very very very much), especially since we won't be seeing her for her birthday - Dad provided a different wine for every course of a seven course Lunch (Bastard guessed the Theme having only been served one course *facepalm*). Dad duly broke his brain upon hearing the latest Shirley Bassey album (my gift, together with the CD of tuba concertos - he apparently knows the guy who did the CD, a fact which I did not know; I just bought it because it amused me to endeavour to break Dad's brain with it). He went to see her in concert back in the sixties. And he has now heard her cover of Pink's 'Get The Party Started' *evil laugh*

Very tired. Some idiot rang at 8am and did not leave a message on the answering machine. 8am might be the only time I'm likely to be home, but I don't believe I am worth talking to when just woken up...

Winding down now with chocolates, and silly music. Yay!
