On each piece of paper that gets filed, there is supposed to be notations that tell you where to find the other bits of paper associated with it. So, for each repair log sheet (where everything that comes into the workshop, whether it needs stuff done to it or not, should be logged) there should be a notation pointing you to the delivery slip or invoice number. Important word, 'should'. There is a rash of repair sheets that I've had to add important details like that. It is obviously good that I check them as I log them.

Then there's the people who fax us an order 5 minutes before the courier who comes by daily is due. And they expect it to be at their place tomorrow. There's always a large batch that comes in 45 minutes before, because that's when we tell people that they have to have it in by or we can't guarantee that it will go out on time. But there's also always one that comes in when we're going 'Good, we've got them all done, and the guy isn't here yet'.

Oh well, I'm going to my SO's parents' house for tea because they wanted us (I like them, they're so nice, even if she's a bit pushy and he's anal-retentive and a fussbudget). Food good.
