At intervals yesterday and today, dictated by wrist endurance levels, we put more holes in the wall. Eventually, these will become power points. Right now, however, the ones in the bathroom, bedroom, and entryway are merely collections of drill holes, to be chipped out when energy levels and wrists permit. And ears, although the ringing in mine reminds me that I really need to find a pair of earhole protectors that fit. The holes in the kitchen are nearly done, and the electrician will be (hopefully) doing stuff in them tomorrow. The electrician is a friend who happens to be on holidays from work, so unlike many tradesmen, we expect him to turn up. Probably not on time, though, but since I'll be at work and my SO will probably still be in his PJs when the electrician arrives, who cares? Not me.

I like my doctor. I went to go see her due to persistent nausea of the type I associate with my reflux (worst in the morning) and a random scattering of nauseous episodes throughout the day, with no other funny symptoms. I was on 10mg Losec until this started. Shortly after, I doubled the dose to 20mg. That stopped working after a week. So I went to see my GP, did the full exam.

She found: glands up (not unusual for me, they appear to flare a little at random intervals), I don't have peritonitis but there are sore spots in the same general area, and there is nothing else wrong.

So we decided that it's probably a gastro thingy interfering with the reflux, and she gave me a sample pack of a stronger drug in the same family of proton-pump inhibitors, and told me to give her a call if it worked so that she could organise a prescription.

It worked and I don't feel sick. But now I have more drugs next to the bed. That means there is less room for books on the dresser...

And now I go to clean up all the mess in the bathroom from chiseling out the hole so that I can have a shower in the morning without having to deal with gritty bits of brick underfoot and on the basin.
