Static; He'd started me doing CJs in front of him in a double handhold (rather than in a ballroom-type hold, this is not infrequently used to enable the guy to lead the lady around him by moving the lead in front of him, then out to one side, then behind his head (to lead the lady around behind his back) then out the other side without changing which hand is connected to which hand), then relaxed into a lady-play 'lead' (or rather, not-lead, which allows the improvisation of a lady-play). Which I took, framed up (which prompts the guy to frame to support whatever I'm about to do) and had fun.
