Just in case anyone was wondering *grin* this was what I looked like the day work had their aircon replaced. I appreciated the hearing protection at bridge that night, as one of the more aggressively grumpy players was seated directly behind me, and she can be quite loud.

They did suggest it - some of my co-workers switched their normal Thursday shift to Friday (I'm not the only one who chooses, ordinarily, to not work on Fridays). The face mask and hearing protection are mine (I have boxes full of the face masks - most don't fit me properly) and were my idea. And when they were doing the return air thingies which are now above and behind me, I turned my screen around and typed from the other side of the desk.
