Whoa.
We crashed a gathering at Bastards' parents' place this afternoon, just in time to clean up most of the leftovers :P I have now had enough of 65ish yo persons who have known each other since childhood (with a couple of ringers who were added in early adulthood) for the day. I didn't realise just how much cross-pollination in the early adulthood dating scene there was for these people. They were the 18 or so people, out of a Youth Group Equivalent which had 120 or so members, who've kept in close touch over the years with Bastards' parents and each other.
I have also heard all about how big Bastard was when he was born, comparisons with his brother, the pros and cons of various types of video lens thingies for computers, several womens' grandchildren, everyones' children, and the political-ness of housing. I managed (I think) not to let on that I couldn't remember the name of a single one of them (I'd met most of them before), even Bastards' parents' names (which I know perfectly well) until we got down to six people (including Bastard and myself).
