Sadly, it's barely swollen, and I seem to have reset it in my sleep. Compared to everyone else's broken nose anecdotes, I have got off Very Lightly - if you didn't know me, you wouldn't be able to tell my nose was broken. I don't have panda eyes (yet, slight bruising has shown up this morning), I can even blow it (gently) without passing out from pain! This may be me, this may be my pain tolerance, this may also be the awesomeness of my reaction to these painkillers.
I have mentioned these painkillers, haven't I?
I've never had morphine, I don't need it when I has this stuff :D
And in the end, for a first bone to ever break, my nasal bone is probably the least disruptive to my life that any could have been.
Wow, you did indeed get lucky - best broken nose situation like evar :-)
So far I've yet to ever break a major bone. Just my nose (twice), both thumbs (at the same time - that was interesting) and a toe, plus chipping a little piece out of one shinbone and getting several middle finger-joints smashed in a Clumsy Studio Producer Meets Piano Key Cover Whilst Gesturing to the Pianist incident. Oh, and losing my front teeth as a result of falling over the bro-in-law's dog. Could be worse :P
Yeah - the bit that's driving me up the wall, even more than the itch, is the fact that I can't wear glasses until the ENT specialist has seen to it. So I have contacts in, which have less-accurate astigmatism correction and which get in the way of close work. Also, I'm not used to wearing them all day, so it's tiring :P

Sadly, it's likely to get worse before it gets better. But it will get better. So saith the owner of a nose that was broken more than once :-S
