I have got to stop sleeping with only a sheet. The vampire dreams are freaking me out, what with the sharp fingernails to the stomach coming out of random objects below the lock that will keep them dead (the lock with the key I'm very carefully turning, in case the vampire nails come out of the lock) and all. When I have a blankie I have nice dreams, like the one earlier this week which involved a band rehearsal for a rock band who I'd never played with before, playing an instrument completely new to me (drums), and this being the last rehearsal before a performance - after a period of time in which I was having fun and other people were freaking out, the other people went and freaked out somewhere else.

Am currently shut in the computer room. Bastard is in the loungeroom with the aircon on, and it's frickin' cold (by my standards) in there. In here, with the door shut, I can wear my bathers comfortably, in peace.

I have a big basket of mending and altering to do.

Meh.

I blame Francis Ford Coppola myself. All those loose gauzy dresses blowing in the wind.

Either that or your blankie has embroided crucifixes and you really DO have a problem.

Cya next year!

All that because of sleeping with only a sheet??

...Wow. I wonder what it is that makes the difference? Some sense of safety associated with the extra weight of blankets, perhaps? Or maybe just that you, like many of us, are weird. *grin*

Well, after some discussion we're fairly sure that the bit about the fingernails to the stomach was as a result of being sleep-hugged.

But the rest of it? Yes, I feel insecure under the lack-of-weight. Being insanely hot and sweating under a blankie, I still get to sleep more easily than without one.

Although a damp cloth draped around my neck and torso works as a blankie substitute *grin*
