It's one of the reasons my tolerance for height in tango partners is so low (well, I've yet to encounter someone that could tango that was near my height; most have been faaaar shorter). That, and lack of practice with different partners. <grin> [Actually, make that lack of practice generally. <grin>] And length of limb is important when both are moving around each other.
Still, I wish people did Finnish Tango around here (my favourite variant). Far more laconic and soulful. Sadly it's all Argentinian or Competition (British and American). Although Argentinian isn't too bad with the right partner (one that you have chemistry with).
