I went in this time to prevent the possibility of pain in the future :P Historically dentist visits for me are either scale&clean or cover-to-prevent-badness (hence why I have fissure seals on all my molars - a bit of poking (without anaesthetic for the originals), a drill to polish the top, and I get no cavities on those teeth). One of those fissure seals had shadows underneath it, which looked to be slowly increasing in size. I prefer NOT getting a root canal, so I went in and got my lovely new dentist to take off the old one (hence anaesthetic, it was kinda drilled off) and stick new goop on top. From the feel of it, the new seal covers more than the old, so it shouldn't need replacing too soon.

Which is good.

My old dentist sucks.
